My Collection

In my records I have digital photos since 2000, even that I have been doing photography for more time than that.

I just realize that I’m clicking on a camera, making the shutter work for over 2 decades. In any case I always try to improve bit by bit, photo by photo.

As we move from place to place feeling the environment and letting our experience of traveling go beyond of just being.

Starts

I started with a minolta film camera, taking 36 photos per rol. Later I moved to a Sony digital camera, to same a bit of money on lenses. But them I completely moved to Canon, and I’m still using Canon for the last several years.

Has I go over time I started to read some books and watch some videos, Two points I like to highlight: Brian Peterson Understanding Exposure and Aaron Nace from phlearn this are great sources of inspiration. Also to mention adorama TV where I sent several days watching video after video.

Along the way several other books and important authors made possible some of this images.

Why

I have been using photography as a way to liberate my creative self. To allow my techy nature to use the machine to express ‘something’, just to make other feel, or inspire. It is also a training tool, to force my brain to look at our surrounding in different perspectives.

As a person that travels a lot, I have the opportunity to take photos of incredible places. In some cases I actually put the camera down and just be.

Taking time

It is important to take time before and after a photo shoot, preparation is key, you can get that shoot again if you are not ready. Even the options for that location must be in your head. Taking the time to look at the map, see where you will be, your target, your light, anticipate the time of day to be there. and after, think about what the image makes you feel, think about what other will experience once they see it. Once it is out there there is not coming back.
